Painting with Oil on Aluminum

This is a video where I am experimenting with using a new painting technique of painting with oil on aluminum, that I am very excited about. Working with oil on aluminum is a very different process for me. The paint reacts very differently than canvas does, which is exciting. Being an artist is very satisfying, especially when you find new ways to express yourself. This new work was inspired by a friend’s photo of a storm over the peak of Haleakala, the dormant volcano here on Maui. Enjoy.
