A story about my time in the military

I participate in the Art of Aloha show every year, which is presented by Lahaina Galleries. Part of the Art of Aloha event includes “an evening with the artists” and is usually hosted by a particular artist from the show. This year, I hosted a dinner. Part of the evening includes the host artist sharing a story about their life. I decided to share my story of my mandatory stint in the army in Italy, before I was living in the United States full time. I could tell from the start , I could tell that it wasn’t the right fit for me. It is interesting how life as a fine artist can even work while in the military! Please enjoy.
